The fifth round of Liga action brought 27 goals (despite three goalless games), with wins for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Osasuna, Valencia and Espanyol.
Barca stay top after thrashing Rayo Vallecano 4-0 in Madrid, while Atletico are the only other team in the Primera Division with a perfect record, thanks to their 2-0 win at Valladolid. Real remain in third after downing Getafe 4-1.

In goal, Víctor Valdes continued his remarkable recent form with several stunning saves, including a second penalty stop in as many games.
At the back, Chica impressed for Betis both in defence and attack as the Seville-based side drew 0-0 with Granada in an Andalusian derby. Pepe, meanwhile, is returning to his best for Real Madrid and also scored an important goal after Getafe had taken the lead at the Santiago Bernabeu. Finally, Javi Manquillo took advantage of Diego Simeone's rotations and shone for Atletico at Valladolid.
In midfield, Cesc Fabregas and Isco were on target for Barcelona and Madrid, respectvely, while Raul Garcia set Atletico on their way to victory with the opening goal in a fine display at Valladolid. Victor Sanchez completes the midfield four following his double in the 3-2 win over Athletic Bilbao, which included a wonderful first from distance.
Further forward, Cristiano Ronaldo finished the week which had started with his contract renewal and continued with a hat-trick at Galatasaray by adding two more goals at home to Getafe. Pedro bagged his first hat-trick for Barcelona in the 4-0 win at Rayo, while Jonas brought some respite to troubled Valencia with a double in the 3-1 success against Sevilla at Mestalla.
