Goal.com looks at the star performers from the latest round of action from the Italian top flight

Serie A returned with a series of bangs as the 2013 calendar was started with some notable results this weekend. With big performances turned in all across the bel paese, there were plenty of contenders for the Goal.com Team of the Week for Round 19.

Mattia Perin was always going to find his way into our best XI after a magnificent one-man show against Fiorentina earned Pescara all three points against the odds. Five-star ratings are rare for a player in any position, especially so a goalkeeper, yet the Italy Under-21 international was worthy of every last glimmer of his full marks.

Lazio's comeback win against Cagliari was certainly achieved the hard way, and it was Abdoulay Konko who got them back on track with a great performance down the right and a crucial equaliser to boot. Meanwhile, Sunday's big winners Napoli didn't have it all their own way against Roma despite the 4-1 scoreline, and had Hugo Campagnaro to thank for many crucial interventions. And the weekend's biggest result saw Sampdoria edge out Juventus thanks in part to a defence superbly marshaled by skipper Daniele Gastadello.

Across midfield, there were some real stars on show. Andrea Lazzari produced two sumptuous assists as Udinese hit Inter hard in the second half of their clash to collect three goals and three points, while Pedro Obiang enhanced his burgeoning reputation with a fantastic showing to lead Samp to victory at Juventus Stadium. While Perin was superb in goal, Vladimir Weiss added to Pescara's cap of feathers with a display of real verve and vigour in his side's surprise win at the Franchi, and Antonio Candreva came off the bench to bury a late penalty and earn Lazio the victory against Cagliari on Saturday.

Up front, three stand-out candidates get the nod after Sunday developed into a real striking show. First up, Antonio Di Natale grabbed two goals in the lunchtime kick-off to cap off a magnificent personal display as Udinese saw off Inter. By 17:00, Mauro Icardi had scored a pair of his own to grab the points and the headlines for Sampdoria against Juve, and the evening showpiece saw Edinson Cavani trump both men with yet another hat-trick for Napoli as Roma were disposed of. There really are few adjectives left to describe the Uruguayan.
