La Liga Team of the Week: Villa, Modric & Soldado star

The Barcelona striker scored again and makes our selection, along with Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder, who opened his account in Spain, and Valencia's prolific forward

Barcelona lead the Primera Division outright following the 10th matchday of La Liga, which saw the Catalans claim victory at home to Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid lose their unbeaten record with defeat at Valencia, as Real Madrid moved into third with their win at home to Zaragoza.

Here, Goal.com looks at the standout performers as the league reached double figures, with 28 rounds still to play before the champions of 2012-13 are decided.

Between the sticks, Gustavo Munua was spectacular Levante's draw at home to Sevilla, keeping the Andalucians out with a string of superb saves to thwart Michel's men at the Ciutat de Valencia.

Also on form for Levante was veteran Juanfran, whose sterling work in defence helped the Valencia-based side keep a clean sheet, while Jordi Alba impressed for Barca and scored the third in the Catalans' 3-1 win over Celta. Diego Colotto too was inspirational for Espanyol in their excellent victory at Real Sociedad.

In midfield, Benat was superb for Betis and scored a stunning strike straight from a free kick, while Luka Modric gave Real Madrid real quality in central midfield and netted his first goal for the capital club since moving from Tottenham in the summer. And at Osasuna, Valladolid's Patrick Ebert impressed, scoring the only goal of the game to give the Casilian club victory.

Piti produced at Malaga to hand Rayo Vallecano a shock success, scoring both goals in a fine 2-1 win for the Madrid-based side.

Further forward, David Villa is included after netting again for Barcelona in their win over Celta. Aritz Aduriz scored both goals for Athletic Bilbao as the Basques came out on top at Granada and Roberto Soldado sealed a stunner with a breathtaking volley at home to Atletico Madrid, thereby helping end the unbeaten run of Diego Simeone's side.
