ANALYSIS
By Ben Hayward | Spanish Football Editor

It has been a slow start. The transfer window in Spain has seen little action so far, but the movement is likely to heat up in the coming weeks and as well as arrivals, there will be plenty of departures, too.

Last week, Goal.com looked at the unfolding exodus at relegated Villarreal, but with many more attractive players on offer, expect further movement in and out of Spain's biggest teams in the coming weeks.

Here, we look at a number of the biggest names who could leave their sides in the remainder of the summer window.

Chance of a move this summer 40%
Adrian may have missed out on a place in Spain's World Cup squad, but the Atletico Madrid forward is attracting plenty of interest this summer and could yet leave the Vicente Calderon following a successful debut season in red and white.

Signed from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, Adrian helped Spain to European Championship success at under-21 level in 2011, before hitting 18 goals in 44 games for his club last term and adding the Europa League title to his palmares.

This summer, Adrian will represent Spain at the Olympic Games in London and the English capital could yet be his home next season, with both Tottenham and Arsenal said to be keen on recruiting the 24-year-old forward. Barcelona have also been linked, but that move appears less likely.

Atletico, meanwhile, do not want to sell, but the club's delicate financial situation means they may be forced to part with one of their important players. Adrian's release clause is set at €18m.

Chance of a move this summer 60%
Barcelona revealed a transfer budget of €40 million earlier this summer and, having spent €14m to bring in Valencia left-back Jordi Alba, the Catalan club may now need to sell before making another big signing.

Adriano is one of the players surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and although his agent claimed this week that the Brazilian would be happy to remain in Catalunya, he also revealed his client would be open for a move to Juventus.

With Eric Abidal still sidelined following a liver transplant, Barca could do with the cover at left-back, but may prefer to strengthen their squad and allow Adriano to depart this summer.

Adriano can operate in a number of different positions and his versatility means Barca are sure to find plenty more interest should they decide to sell.

Afellay is another player who could be on his way out of Barcelona this summer. The Netherlands forward barely featured in 2011-12 after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and has slipped down the pecking order at Camp Nou.

Signed for a cut-price €2.5m in 2010, the former PSV Eindhoven man could now be allowed to leave to raise money for further signings at Barca this summer.

His current value is around €8m, with Inter keen, as well as a host of sides from the Premier League, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle.

The player, meanwhile, has expressed his desire to stay at Barca - but he may not get the chance.

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €20m

Chance of a move this summer 60%
Lassana Diarra is linked with a Real Madrid exit every summer, but the former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder remains at the Santiago Bernabeu and could yet stay with the Spanish side, amid reports he will be the club's back-up right-back in 2012-13.

However, Diarra has consistently expressed his disappointment at what is a bit-part role in Madrid and his agent admitted recently that a move to AC Milan could be on the cards.

Long-time admirers Tottenham are keen on the midfielder, with Spartak Moscow also in the frame.

Diarra would cost around €20m.

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €45m
Interested clubs Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham, Barcelona
Chance of a move this summer 50%
Falcao was a revelation in his debut season at the Vicente Calderon, adding a second Europa League title to his collection after inspiring Porto to the same trophy a season before.

Atletico failed to qualify for the Champions League and still owe Porto around two thirds of the fee for the Colombian, who may therefore be allowed to move on this summer, despite claims to the contrary.

Chelsea have long been interested in the South American, while Manchester City could come into the picture and Tottenham are also eager to bring in a top-class forward. The Londoners can only offer Europa League football to Falcao, but a move to White Hart Lane would see the Colombian link up with former coach Andre Villas-Boas.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are said to be monitoring developments, although the Catalans look unlikely to follow up their interest this summer due to their restricted transfer budget.

KAKA | Real Madrid, Forward, 30

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €25m

Chance of a move this summer 65%
Kaka enjoyed his finest season yet at Real Madrid in 2011-12, but the Brazilian still found himself left out of the starting line-up when it mattered most, in the Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich and the Liga decider at Camp Nou against Barcelona.

Coach Jose Mourinho has praised the 30-year-old, but recognises the player is somewhat below the AC Milan version which saw him claim the Ballon d'Or in 2007.

With competition for places hotting up following the return from injury of Angel Di Maria, and Luka Modric set to arrive this summer, Kaka may be forced to leave after three seasons in Spain.

Madrid know they cannot recoup the huge outlay of €65m paid to Milan in 2009, but would probably do business for €25m. Milan is the player's preferred destination, while Inter, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham have also been linked.

There has also been reported interest from China. although the playmaker's elevated fee could put off suitors from Asia.

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €40m

Chance of a move this summer 50%
Javi Martinez is a man in demand this summer, having attracted significant interest from both Barcelona and Manchester City.

The Athletic Bilbao midfielder, who operated in defence for most of last season at San Mames, would come at a price, given that his release clause is set at a prohibitive €40m. However, his flexibility and age make him an attractive proposition and the former Osasuna youngster will be keen to see if coach Marcelo Bielsa stays at Athletic after a recent bust-up with the Basque outfit.

However, only last week Martinez reiterated his commitment to Athletic, saying he did not see himself playing for Barcelona. There is no hurry, either: he is 23 and his contract expires in 2016.

ALVARO NEGREDO | Sevilla, Forward, 26

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €20m

Chance of a move this summer 50%
A surprise starter for Spain in the Euro 2012 semi-final against Portugal, Negredo was ultimately disappointing in what was a somewhat subdued showing from the champions against their Iberian neighbours.

The Sevilla striker had been expected to play more of a part for Vicente del Bosque's side in Poland and Ukraine, especially in the absence of the injured David Villa.

Nevetheless, interest in the former Real Madrid man remains solid this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool both in the frame for the 26-year-old forward.

Sevilla have claimed the player is not for sale, but it has emerged the Andalusian club still owe money to PSV Eindhoven for striker Arouna Kone and with debts to pay at the Sanchez Pizjuan, Negredo may be forced to move on.

NURI SAHIN | Real Madrid, Midfielder, 23

2011-12 SEASON STATS
Appearances 10

TRANSFER FILE
Transfer value €15m
Interested clubs Dortmund, Tottenham, Valencia
Chance of a move this summer 70%
Sahin arrived at Real Madrid to much fanfare last summer, but the Turkey midfielder endured a miserable debut campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu, largely due to injury.

Coach Jose Mourinho has claimed the midfielder is not for sale, but was critical of the former Borussia Dortmund man at times last season and Sahin's days in Madrid could now be numbered - especially with a move for Luka Modric now nearing an advanced stage.

Sahin would like to stay at the Bernabeu, but could be forced out by Modric's arrival, with Tottenham said to be keen on a swap deal. Former club Dortmund is another alternative, while the player could remain in Spain with Valencia.
