With just a handful of games left across the majority of leagues in Europe, players will be looking to finish their campaigns on a high ahead of the summer transfer window.

Goal.com
brings you both the best and the worst individual displays across Europe over the weekend as we track those who could be moving to the Premier League this summer.

GOOD WEEK...

Porto regained top spot in Liga Sagres following a comfortable 3-0 win over Beira-Mar on Saturday and Hulk was on form to inspire his side to victory.

The Brazilian's powerful penalty in the 33rd minute handed Porto the lead before he turned provider for Marc Janko, who guided the ball home from close range following the forward's cross.

Hulk exhibited the ferocity of his strike once more as he connected with Maicon's cutback inside the Beira-Mar box to fire past Rui Rego and complete his double.

Chelsea have been the latest club linked with a summer swoop for the 25-year-old, who reportedly has an £85 million release clause in his contract.

Hulk's agent claimed the fee would not be unreasonable for a club to spend, while earlier this month, the forward's representative was quick to deny claims that suggested Paris Saint-Germain had made an approach.

It was also a good weekend for Eden Hazard, who scored and provided an assist for Rio Mavuba to help Lille run out 2-0 winners at Dijon. The Belgian forward picked up an Achilles injury late on and had to be substituted, while after the game, Dijon's coach, Patrice Carteron, claimed Hazard will be 'forced to stay on his feet' if he made a switch to the Premier League this summer.

Lukas Podolski had failed to hit form for a sinking Koln in recent weeks, but the Germany international was dynamic throughout his side's 1-1 draw against Stuttgart and provided an assist for Slawomir Peszko's goal.

Jan Vertonghen helped Ajax keep a clean sheet against Groningen, while Christian Eriksen also featured in the 2-0 win and was lively throughout before being replaced in the closing stages.

Ander Herrera had a fine outing as Athletic Bilbao secured a 1-0 victory at Racing Santander. The midfielder was instrumental throughout and provided an assist for the winning strike. Oscar de Marcos also played but was less effective in the middle.

Gaston Ramirez was talismanic in Bologna's 1-1 draw at AC Milan on Sunday and the Liverpool target opened the scoring after 26 minutes.

Edinson Cavani did little to ease the minds of Napoli fans over the weekend as he refused to commit his future to the club, but the forward got on the scoresheet in a comfortable 2-0 win over Novara on Saturday.

BAD WEEK...

Heerenveen's hopes of securing a place in the Champions League next season took a blow following a 1-1 draw at home to fellow European candidates Vitesse.

Bas Dost, who had bagged a hat-trick in the match prior to Saturday's stalemate, struggled to influence throughout the tie and saw his chances to extend his lead at the top of the Eredivisie scoring charts limited.

Aston Villa have been strongly linked with the Dutchman this summer and in response to claims that they have already made a move for the striker, Alex McLeish was adamant his side have yet to approach the 22-year-old.

"There's been no contact whatsoever with agent or anyone. Nothing. He’s scored a number of goals in Holland this season but is among a number of players we've recorded and logged," said McLeish.

"You never know, he might be here in July. I’m not saying it cannot happen, but we've never made any contact. We’re looking at a lot of players."

Montpellier maintained their lead at the top of Ligue 1, but striker Oliver Giroud was subdued throughout his side's 1-0 win over Valenciennes.

Newcastle United target Erik Pieters missed PSV's 2-1 win over NEC Nijmegen with an ankle injury and is likely to be out for the remainder of the season.

Axel Witsel was suspended for Benfica's 4-1 win over Maritimo on Saturday, while Nicolas Gaitan made the matchday squad but spent the entire game on the bench.

Twente grabbed a late winner against Excelsior on Saturday but Newcastle United target Luuk de Jong endured a frustrating evening in attack.

SURPRISE PACKAGE...

Parma may be heading towards the comfort of mid-table obscurity following a 3-0 win over Cagliari on Saturday but the attention surrounding Sebastian Giovinco may ramp up off the back of the 25-year-old's display during the victory.

The forward opened the scoring with a free-kick and had a hand in Parma's second goal as his pass found Jonathan, who was brought down in the area which won a penalty for the hosts.

Giovinco looked bright throughout the match and found himself unlucky not to add his tally, which currently stands at a respectable 12 goals in Serie A this term. Alongside seven assists, the Italy international has been a catalyst in Parma's survival.

Earlier this month, Giovinco's agent claimed Barcelona were interested in the forward, while reports have also emerged linking Chelsea as potential suitors this summer.

Juventus still hold a 50 per cent stake in Giovinco's player rights but it is still unclear whether the 25-year-old has a future with the Turin side.

Giovinco is also likely to feature for Italy at Euro 2012, which gives the forward another platform to engineer a move away from Parma.
