Uruguay's heroes dominate the list of players chosen as the stars of the South American competition, which ended this Sunday with a record 15th victory for the Celeste

Diego Forlan's impeccable finish in the dying minutes of the 2011 Copa America final confirmed a 3-0 victory for Uruguay over Paraguay, and crowned the Celeste as champions of South America.

It was a competition where the underdog prevailed throughout. Peru and Venezuela both reached the last four against all odds and expectations, while pre-Copa favourites Argentina and Brazil crashed out at the quarter-final stage after bitterly disappointing tournaments.
