Deportivo La Coruna recorded a surprise 1-0 victory over Champions League chasing Villarreal; leaving the Yellow Submarines behind Valencia in fourth place.
"The result always affects the analysis of the game. We have lost and when you lose the analysis is always worse," coach Juan Carlos Garrido was quoted as saying by abc.es after the match.
He suggested that it was individual mistakes that cost his side the chance to take anything from the game, adding that the two consecutive defeats have 'hurt' his side's momemtum.
Admitting that it was difficult to play against Deportivo because they were playing to avoid relegation, and that each of their 'players had played to the highest of levels.'
Garrido called for his players to move forward, and added: "What we need is a reaction from our players.
"We need to give maximum performance in the next game. When you play so many games with such intensity it is normal to have these problems."
