The Atletico Madrid chief has hailed Diego Simeone's sides achievements across the course of the season ahead of Saturday's Champions League final
The capital club claimed the Liga title on the final day of the season and have reached the Champions League final, seeing off the likes of Chelsea and AC Milan on the way.
The club chief has hailed his side's achievements over the last week and is looking forward to Saturday's showpiece clash with Real Madrid in Lisbon.
"I have said it many times and the film director Jose Luis Garci said to me: 'If someone asks you one day for a film in relation to Atletico, it would be called A Team for Eternity'," he told AS.
"This Atletico are a film from a team. I think all season we have played an important part and now we can do the same on Saturday.
"It is clear that we will go out to win, but you have to play the game. Atletico are now an important team. The group have had a fantastic season.
"Atletico are a great team with great players and an exceptional coach for the management, the fans and the players.
"We can be criticised, but you could never accuse us of a lack of courage."
