thumbnail Hello,

The 39-year-old hopes his men can take home "something countable" from their first European tie of the season

Bayer Leverkusen coach Sami Hyypia says "the pressure is on Manchester United" as he prepares to take his side to Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The former Liverpool centre-back is well versed in Champions League football from his time at Anfield but will take charge of a side in the competition for the first time when B04 face the reigning Premier League champions.

And the 39-year-old trainer is adamant Leverkusen are huge underdogs against the Premier League giants and stressed that all the expectancy will lie on the shoulders of opposite number David Moyes.

"Actually, we can approach this match in a very relaxed manner," the former Liverpool star told a press conference.

"The pressure certainly is on Manchester United.

However, Hyypia is keen on causing an upset at Old Trafford and simply wants to see his side play to the best of their ability.

"I hope we can reach our potential on the pitch and take away something countable," he added.

The encounter between Bayer and The Red Devils is scheduled for September 17, 20.45CET.
