Daniel Van Buyten has voiced his delight with Bayern Munich's 7-0 aggregate win over Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The Bundesliga champions recorded a 3-0 victory at Camp Nou on Wednesday after previously winning the first leg at the Allianz Arena 4-0 and Van Buyten feels Bayern showed the world what they can do in the two games against the Catalans.
"This is great. I guess not everybody believed we could do this but we are proud to have won this tie so well and to have scored seven goals across the two matches - you can call it a dream come true for us," Van Buyten told Uefa.com.
"Also, I'd say that we are proud to have shown so clearly that Bayern play football which is very attractive but also very effective."
The Belgium international then looked ahead to the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund and admitted that a tough task awaits Jupp Heynckes' charges.
"The fact that we face a German rival at Wembley is more difficult for us, I think," Van Buyten continued.
"I know that a lot of people probably doubted Dortmund before their tie with Real Madrid but look how strongly they won that semi-final - it emphasises what a tough rival they will be. It's going to be a hard final for us."
The final takes place at Wembley on Saturday May 25.
