Galatasaray good enough to beat Schalke, says Burak
The Turkish forward believes the side have what it takes to overcome Schalke in the Champions League last 16 and reach the last eight of the competition
Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz believes that the side have enough quality to beat Schalke to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The two sides clash in the first leg of their last-16 encounter on Wednesday, and the former Trabzonspor man is confident of progression to the next round after an impressive group campaign.
“They’re a strong opponent but we have enough quality to get through and reach the last eight. We’re going into the game fully focused,” Burak was quoted as saying on FIFA.com.
“I think we've done fantastic work. Luck wasn't on our side in the first three matches, but we always believed in ourselves and were rewarded for it.”
Burak went on to say that he is delighted with with the way things are going for him at the Turk Telekom Arena this season since leaving Trabzon.
“It’s very important for me to feel at home at my club and that helps me perform well. Galatasaray is my home, I’m very happy and content at the moment.
“At the end of the day I’m just trying to give my best in every game.”
