Galatasaray can beat Schalke, insists Muslera

The Uruguay shot-stopper feels the two sides are well matched heading into the clash in February, but considers the draw to be more favourable than it might have been
Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera believes his side have every chance of beating Schalke in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Turkish giants secured qualification from Group H with a 2-1 win over Braga on the final matchday, and have been rewarded with a tie against Jens Keller's Bundesliga side.

Although Muslera insists there are no easy games at this stage of the tournament, the 26-year-old feels progression to the quarter-finals is well within his side's capabilities as the two teams are evenly matched.

He told TRT Spor: "Our priority was to qualify from the group stage. We drew an easier team compared to the other teams like Barcelona.

"Of course it is still a hard game. But the teams are head-to-head I think."

Galatasaray progressed to the last 16 after they finished in second place in Group H behind Manchester United.
