Juventus must defeat Nordsjaelland at all costs, insists Alessio
The Bianconeri assistant coach is aware of the importance of Wednesday's encounter, and has stressed that the team need to triumph over the Danish champions
Angelo Alessio has insisted that Juventus cannot afford to spill points against Nordsjaelland in their quest to claim a place in the Champions League knokout stages. The Serie A champions currently sit third in Group E after three draws, and their assistant coach has made it clear that they desperately need a victory to advance to the round of 16.
"We understand the importance of this game. It’s an encounter to be won at all costs," Alessio said at a press conference.
"In order to do this we need to be determined and hungry to get the result. We’re aiming to progress in the Champions League and get through to the last 16.
"But we also acknowledge that we’re still developing as a side. Let’s not forget where we started out and the fact that we have many players experiencing this competition for the first time."
Wednesday's match at the Juventus Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.
