Manchester City omit Kolo Toure from Champions League Squad

The Premier League champions have not included the Ivorian defender in their squad as rumours continue to circulate over a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray
Manchester City have omitted defender Kolo Toure from their 25 man Champions League squad.

The 31-year-old defender is currently subject of interest from Galatasaray with the club looking to complete a move before the the Turkish transfer window closes on Wednesday evening.

Toure has not ruled out remaining at City, however, but he will not be eligible for the club's European games if he remains at the Etihad.

Ahead of competing against the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus in the competition's stand-out group, City have selected new signings Javi Garcia, Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell with the latter looking to make his Champions League debut.

City's squad includes 25 senior players in addition to a further 17 Under-21 'B' players.
