The German football association supremo was distraught after the Bavarians suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the showpiece of Europe's elite club competition
DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach has revealed that he is struggling to come to terms with the manner in which Bayern Munich lost to Chelsea in the Champions League final on Saturday. The Bavarians dominated their London opposition for most of the match, but were punished by a dramatic equaliser in the late minutes of the game by Didier Drogba, before going on to lose on penalties.
"There's no justice in football," Niersbach told the Bayern Munich club website.
"What's happened here is unbelievable. I'm still speechless after this match. How are we supposed to look to the future? We look back instead, and it hurts."
Bayern finished 2nd in the Bundesliga, and lost the DFB Pokal at the hands of German champions Borussia Dortmund.
