The Bavarian giants reached the last four of the competition after a 4-0 aggregate victory against Olympique de Marseille.
Kroos is wary of the attacking threat posed by Madrid, but called on his side to prove that they belong to the European elite.
"Madrid have scored five goals or more in a single match several times this season," he told Kicker.
"But this is a great opportunity to show that we are at a top level in Europe, including at the same level as Madrid."
Bayern will host Madrid on April 17 before taking on the Spanish club at the Santiago Bernabeu the following week.
