thumbnail Hello,

The 66-year-old trainer has admitted that his side are a target for other teams and stated he does not see any reason why they cannot reach the final

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has heaped praise on his players and believes the Germans are capable of reaching the Champions League final.

The Bundesliga leaders have been in scintillating form this season and top Group A in Europe's most prestigious club competition.

Bayern were drawn in the 'group of death', together with Napoli, Manchester City and Villarreal, but lead the section with two victories and one draw so far.

After a 1-1 stalemate at Napoli a fortnight ago, Bayern are preparing for the visit of the Serie A club, and Heynckes conceded his side are only thinking about themselves.

"We are not aiming for other teams," he told Goal.com. "Bayern are so dominant that other teams aim for us.

"Napoli run a lot, are aggressive and disciplined. That will make them dangerous for us. We are very well prepared and know how the opposition will play.

"Naturally, we will want to win. With a win we can distance ourselves from the competition."

The Allianz Arena outfit are being tipped as strong contenders for the Champions League title and the 66-year-old appears to agree with that notion.

"After the draw, it was known as the 'group of death' and now we are doing well," he noted. "There are some strong teams, but why should the final be impossible for us?"

Bayern full-back Philipp Lahm then stated his side are aware of the threat posed by Napoli but noted they are targeting three points in Wednesday's game.

"We will not lose our focus," Lahm said. "Napoli have a good team, but we showed our class in Naples and now want to take the three points.

"Their system involves running very hard and this time we will be more sensitive to it. We want to show from the beginning who are the masters of the house."
