The Frenchman admitted that the better side won at Wembley and feels that Pep Guardiola's outfit have been the greatest team on the planet for four years
Pep Guardiola's men dominated Evra and his United team-mates in a 3-1 victory at Wembley to become European champions for the the fourth time, and the French international admitted that the Red Devils could have no complaints.
He said: "The best team won tonight.
"I think we have to give credit to Barcelona. Even though I play for Manchester United and we always want to be the best in the world, tonight Barcelona were the best.
"For the moment we have to accept that for the last four years Barcelona have been the best team in the world, and United the second [best]."
Evra also praised the Catalan side's almost telepathic style of play, lauding each players' ability to know one another's game.
"We know each other, but they know each other so well, so perfectly.
"Every time Messi gets the ball he knows Xavi is going to be there, Pedro is going to be there, or Iniesta. It was very difficult, Barcelona keep the ball really well."
