The former Barcelona coach, who was also assistant in Johan Cruyff's Dream Team, hailed Pep Guardiola's men as a team who almost never put in a bad performanceFormer Barcelona coach Charly Rexach hailed Pep Guardiola's side as an irresistible force and said that they were by far the superior side in the Champions League final, which they won 3-1 against Manchester United.
"I really enjoyed the game. We have no need to suffer when they play. Barcelona were greatly superior and made the difference. They played superbly even when it was 1-1," the presidential advisor told Cadena SER after the game.
Rexach went on to define the qualities of the Liga champions, admitting that they are very difficult to stop due to their high level of consistency.
"Barcelona are a very reliable team. It is very difficult for them to lose. They almost never play badly and they usually play well or very well. They are almost unstoppable.
"As a team, they run but not too much, just what is necessary. That means they can maintain a consistently high level throughout the season. Now they are as strong as at the beginning of the season."
Barcelona have now won four league and European cup doubles, more than any other team on the continent.
