Johan Cruyff unsure whether Barcelona will eliminate Shakhtar Donetsk to reach Champions League semi-finals

Club icon Johan Cruyff has revealed that he's not sure Barcelona will be able to eliminate Shakhtar Donetsk in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Many are already dreaming of a Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, but Blaugrana icon Johan Cruyff has voiced his opinion that a clash between the two Spanish giants is not a certainty.

The Dutchman doesn't question Real Madrid's ability to get past Tottenham, but has his doubts whether Barcelona have what it takes to eliminate Shakhtar Donetsk in their quarter-final tie.

"I'm not sure that Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet each other in the semi-finals of the Champions League," Cruyff said in his weekly column in El Periodico de Catalunya.

"It's not that I think Real Madrid will be eliminated though. I'm pretty confident los Blancos will make it past Tottenham.

"It's Barcelona I worry about. I really don't know what to expect from Shakhtar. Tottenham's style will be just perfect for Madrid, but Shakhtar are a very different team. They are a lot more dangerous."

Barcelona host Shakhtar on Wednesday for the first leg of their Champions League last-eight meeting, while Real Madrid take on Tottenham at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
