Champions League hopefuls Copenhagen have completed the transfer of Costa Rica international Christian Bolanos from Norwegian side Start for an undisclosed fee. The attacking midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Danish outfit.
Copenhagen recently qualified for the group stage of the Champions League by eliminating Rosenborg in the play-off and head coach Stale Solbakken was keen to strengthen his midfield ahead of the group stage.
The 26-year-old Bolanos previously enjoyed a spell in Denmark at Odense, but left the club for Start in the summer of 2008. Bolanos scored 12 goals in 44 league games in two seasons with the Norwegian side.
"I am really looking forward to playing, particularly in the Champions League matches. I know I am joining a very strong team with a lot of good players and I will have to work hard just to make it into the starting line-up," said Bolanos on the club's official website.
Copenhagen face Barcelona, Panathinaikos and Rubin Kazan in Champions League Group D.
