Barcelona president Joan Laporta has declared himself satisfied with the Blaugrana's win over Stuttgart and said that they remain on course to achieve their targets this season.
Lionel Messi continued his sparkling form for the champions scoring two and creating one which Pedro finished before Bojan Krkic made an instant impact from the bench scoring the fourth within seconds of his introduction.
"I am very satisfied. It was important to get to the quarter-finals. The team deserves it. They demonstrated a high level, we are on the right track. The important thing is we kept going forward and we can realise our dreams," he said, according to AS.
"This is something the whole team has achieved. Messi thrives off the team spirit. His enormous talent is for us to enjoy but the whole team has performed at a high level."
Laporta is wary of teams left in the competition but says they are not thinking about the final at this stage.
"We do not think about the final now, on Friday we know what we have to do and must continue working as before to offer these nights. All rivals are difficult. The French have shown that they have great quality, Bayern [Munich] are in a great moment, Inter have eliminated Chelsea and Arsenal are a team that always practice good football. The quarter-finals will be exciting," he concluded.
