Chelsea Striker Didier Drogba: I Did Not Deserve To Be Red Carded Against Inter
Ivorian unhappy following Champions League exit...
By Adithya Ananth
The Ivorian was sent off during the closing stages of the game for a stamp on Thiago Motta, but the forward believes his actions did not warrant the marching orders that were handed out following the challenge.
"It is difficult to take because, yes I stepped on his calf, but I don't think I deserved this red card," Drogba told Sky Sports.
"But it is something that happened in the game."
Despite being sent off the pitch, the Ivorian hitman maintained that the real blow was being booted out of Europe.
"The most important thing is that we are out of the competition," he said.
"It is a difficult result and now we are going to have to focus on the league and the FA Cup."
