The patron knows who the most important person was this evening...Inter president Massimo Moratti has lauded praise on coach Jose Mourinho, admitting that the Portuguese tactician was the difference between the two sides.
The Nerazzurri were able to defeat Chelsea 1-0, and progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, a feat the Italian side has been unable to achieve in four seasons.
"Mourinho was the most decisive for us this evening. He had the courage to make certain choices over the past few days, and because he also put a very good team on the pitch.
"We will savour this victory. This win will be a good foundation for the rest of the season, as the players showed a strong will to win."
Moratti also declared that he would not speak about the Mario Balotelli saga, but briefly stated that 'Super Mario' has all the qualities of a champion.
"I will not speak about Balotelli, but I will say that Mourinho made the right decision, and this means that someone was not good enough to play. Mario has all the qualities to be a great player.
"Despite the loss to Catania, I had faith in the side. The road ahead is still long, and we will remain attentive every step of the way," added Moratti.
