Manchester United had another dream start in the second-leg, along with the returning Wayne Rooney, they jumped out to a 3-0 lead. However, Olic pulled a goal back and Rafael was sent off, before Arjen Robben scored the crucial away goal with a stunning volley to send Bayern through after a 4-4 aggregate.

Bordeaux were unable to overcome their 3-1 deficit from the first-leg against Lyon. Les Girondins earned a 1-0 win, but Les Gones will be the ones representing France in the semi-finals.

Inter earned a 1-0 first-leg win over CSKA Moscow at the San Siro and repeated the feat in Russia, courtesy of an early Wesley Sneijder free-kick. The Nerazzurri advance to the semi-finals 2-0 on aggregate.


Barcelona 4-1 Arsenal (Agg. 6-3)

It was a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first-leg that featured an epic Arsenal comeback, but in the second-leg it was all Barcelona. Lionel Messi's sensational four-goal performance gave the Spaniards a 4-1 win, as they advanced 6-3 on aggregate.
