Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart started Tuesday's Champions League game against Barcelona as the underdogs, but the Schwaben put in an impressive performance and eventually recorded a 1-1 draw.

In form striker Cacau opened the scoring for Stuttgart with a strong header in the first half before Zlatan Ibrahimovic drew things level again on behalf of the Spaniards.

"You have to see the draw as a good result. We were hoping not to concede a goal, but we can certainly live with the draw," Cacau was quoted as saying by uefa.com.

"I'm really pleased with my own performance. I was really up for this match and was really looking forward to it.

"We will need to prepare extremely well if we are to seriously challenge Barcelona for a place in the quarter-finals. It is beneficial to play against a team that holds the ball so well. It's all good experience and hopefully we can learn something from them."
