Stuttgart 'Keeper Jens Lehmann Believes Barcelona Can Still Be Beaten
The Blaugrana are in the driving seat but Lehmann believes Die Roten can still cause an upset...
By Ewan Macdonald
Stuttgart goalkeeper Jens Lehmann said he believes his side still have a chance of securing a place in the quarter-finals of this season's UEFA Champions League by overcoming Barcelona despite the champions being in the driving seat following a 1-1 draw at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
Die Roten were impressive against the champions and lead through Cacau's first half header but their good work was undone when Zlatan Ibrahimovic slotted home a crucial away goal ten minutes after the break.
"We created some good chances and unfortunately conceded that goal which was quite easy and not really typical Barca play as it was after a set piece," Lehmann told Sky Sports.
'We performed quite well and of course they have a better chance for the second leg but there is always a chance. It's a missed opportunity but there's always a second time.
"My belief is that Barca is not a team that can play for 0-0 so they need to go forward. That always gives the opposition the possibility to make chances."
