Barcelona Stars Victor Valdes & Zlatan Ibrahimovic Not Concerned About Opponents In Knockout Stage
The champions will discover their opponents in the draw on December 18...
Barcelona duo Victor Valdes and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have both declared that it does not matter who the Blaugrana face in the next round of the UEFA Champions League.
The champions secured their place in the knockout stages thanks to a 2-1 win away over Dynamo Kiev thanks to goals from Xavi and Lionel Messi and as a result of finishing top in their group, will play at home in the second leg of the first knockout round.
"Dynamo was a serious opponent, it was not easy but we have remained faithful to our style [of football] and we have been able to take control," Valdes said afterwards, according to AS, and added that a little luck would not go astray in the draw for the knockout stages.
"It's important to get some luck in the draw. Topping the group was important, so we play the decider at home. The opponent doesn't matter."
Swedish striker Ibrahimovic said the win over the Ukrainian's was an "important victory" and added that his team will focus on themselves and not their opponents in the next round.
"It wasn't an easy game, the important thing was to win and move on. In the next round the opponent doesn't matter, the important thing is Barcelona," he remarked.
