Bayern Munich director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is delighted after his side thrashed Juventus to take progress to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Juventus had taken the lead against the run of play, but a sublime team performance from the Germans mean they go through. A Hans-Jorg Butt penalty, and goals from Ivica Olic, Mario Gomez and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk completed the rout.
"We were great tonight and played excellent football and deserved to win the game," Rummenigge told Sky Sport Italia.
"It was a difficult game for us away from home at Juventus. But, we knew we had to win the match.
"The team played very well and in the end we deserved to go through."
Diego was not at his best for Juventus on the night and Rummenigge has given the Italians some advice, telling them to be patient with their summer signing.
"Diego is a great player. I think Juventus need to be patient with him," he concluded.
