Bayern Munich Boss Louis Van Gaal: Victory Over Juventus Would Bring Satisfaction
The Bavarians have only one option if they want to proceed in the high-profile continental competition...
Ahead of the crucial Champions League showdown with Juventus on Tuesday, Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has discussed the pivotal match in his team's campaign. The Bavarians need a victory to continue their run in the competition.
"Certainly winning against Inter has helped Juventus recover important points and improve their confidence," he said during a press conference.
"It is a result that is doubly important for them."
While Juventus may be buoyed by the win over their Serie A rivals, the Dutch tactician knows his team and his position at the club are also under the microscope.
"On our part, there is a lot of pressure, but we are back in the [Bundesliga] race," he explained.
"It's true that thus far I am not satisfied with what I have done, but if we go through [to the knockout stages] and win a few games in the league then we will be."
Asked about his possible starting XI against the Bianconeri tomorrow, Van Gaal gave no hints, "As always, I will send my best available players onto the field."
