The highly rated attacker will be out of action for a while...Russian champions Rubin Kazan have received some disturbing news from the treatment table in the build-up to their decisive Champions League clash against Inter on Wednesday.
They will travel to Italy without highly rated attacker Aleksandr Bukharov as the striker recovers from wrist surgery.
The 24-year-old injured his wrist against Khimki on October 17 and although he was soon back in action wearing a cast, surgery was an increasing inevitability.
Bukharov went under the knife in Germany last week, ruling him out for four weeks.
The striker played a significant role in Rubin retaining the Russian title with his 16 goals in 23 Premier-Liga outings, but has yet to score his first Champions League goal.
