It Was A Balanced Match - Milan Coach Leonardo
Milan coach Leonardo commented on tonight's 1-1 draw against Olympique Marseille.
Tonight Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Olympique Marseille at San Siro in the Champions League. It wasn't quite enough for the Rossoneri to qualify for the next round, but a draw in the final match away to Zurich will most likely be enough.
Coach Leonardo commented on this result to Rai.
"We were lucky? No, they hit us on the counterattack, just like we tried to do," he said. "In the second half the match was more tactical, the two teams were waiting for each other. It was a balanced match."
Marco Borriello opened the score after ten minutes, but Lucho Gonzalez equalised just six minutes later. In the second half the French side hit the woodwork twice.
"Borriello is doing well, we must not forget they played on Friday, we played on Sunday," the coach continued. "We have to analyze everything. Now we play for our qualification against Zurich, it was better to close it today."
