Unirea Urziceni boss Dan Petrescu was happy after his side secured a 1-0 victory over Sevilla in their UEFA Champions League tie at the Steaua Stadium in Bucharest last night.

An own goal from Serbian centre back Ivica Dragutinovic proved the only goal of the game as the 'Chelsea of Ialomita' withstood pressure from the visitors to hold on for a vital win. They now need only avoid defeat away to Stuttgart next month to secure a place in the knockout stages of the competition.

"We are happy with the attitude and the result, but we're not quite there. The pity is that the Stuttgart won and must draw or win in the last game," he said afterwards at a press conference.

"This has been a major victory for Romanian football against a team that can reach the quarter-finals. We have shown that when a team plays and has a good attitude they can win against a big rival."
