Allan McGregor - 8 - Could have been a lot worse without some outstanding saves. Has done his chances of perhaps being recalled to the Scotland squad no harm.
David Weir - 5.5 - Just has not cut it in Europe this season for Rangers.
Sasa Papac - 5.5 - Rangers were simply ripped apart at the back time and time again, Papac was one of the main culprits.
Steven Whittaker - 5 - Poor in defence, and crossing when Rangers did venture forward was really poor.
Danny Wilson - 7 - For a young guy, deserved so much better from those around him. In for Bougherra, he can hold his head up high and deserves to keep his place for Saturday.
Lee McCulloch - 5 - Offers very little for Rangers on the left hand side. Problem position that really needs sorted.
Steven Davis - 6 - So often the influential player for Rangers, he was average in a midfield that was dominated by Stuttgart.
Kevin Thomson - 6 - Has not been the same player he was before his injury, does not impose himself on games.
Kris Boyd - 5 - Service was poor but Boyd showed why he is so often criticised - he does nothing outside of the box.
Kenny Miller - 5.5 - Usual performance; full of running, little end product.
Kyle Lafferty - 5.5 - Appears to be wasted out on the right. Looks like a centre forward being played as a winger.
Substitutes:
DaMarcus Beasley - 5 - Only had five minutes at the end.
Nacho Novo - 6.5 - Tried to get down the wing as often as possible but terrible service hampered him.
John Fleck - 6 - Tried to make a few things happen but has the endeavor but early promise has faded.
Jens Lehmann - 7 - Did well to hold his nerve a few times as Rangers broke through, made a few well timed blocks look easy.
Ricardo Osorio - 6 - Did what he had to do. Rarely troubled down the wing.
Georg Niedermaier - 7 - Solid display as Rangers attempted to get back into it.
Arthur Boka - 6.5 - Like the rest, untroubled at the back and looked very at ease.
Matthieu Delpierre - 7.5 - Gave Rangers little change in very comfortable performance.
Christian Trasch - 6 - Decent display, played his part.
Sebastian Rudy - 7.5 - Goal finished off a beautiful move between Hleb and Cacau.
Alexander Hleb - 8 - Tormented Rangers down the left. Still premiership class.
Zdravko Kuzmanovic - 8 - Grabbed the killer second goal in dominant display.
Cacau - 7.5 - Should have made it 3-0 late on. Only blot on an otherwise excellent display.
Pavel Pogrebniak - 5.5 - Perhaps the one weak link in the team, outshone by his teammates.
Substitutes:
Thomas Hitzlsberger - 7.5 - Showed Stuttgart's qualty that he could come off the bench and dictate the play.
Timo Gebhart - 5 - On in 90th minute.
Julian Schieber - 5 - Replaced Cacau in the final ten minutes.
