Player Ratings: Unirea Urziceni 1-0 Sevilla

The home side squeaked past Sevilla to pick up a massive victory in Group G action. Goal.com rates the players on show...

Galamaz, Negredo, Arlauskis, Unirea, Sevilla (MARCA)

UNIREA URZICENI

Arlauskis - 6 - Played very well considering all of the pressure that was building in front of him. Made crucial saves at vital times.

Mehmedovic - 5.5 - Made some good solid blocks but did very little else in the game. A little sluggish but full of heart.

Galamaz - 6 - A solid display from the captain. He was torn apart by the pace of Perotti in the second half but was otherwise very solid.

Maftei - 5.5 - Rarely heard his name, which can be good or bad for a defender, in this instance he did very well although struggled with the pace of the match at times.

Brandan - 6 - Made some good runs but could not get forward and help out as often as was needed.

Bordeanu - 5.5 - Played more of a defensive role as the game wore on. Was pegged back far too easily in the second half and needs to work on his passing.

Apostol - 6 - Very aggressive into the challenge, which will frustrate many. Nearly lost it at times in the second half but has a good engine.

Vilana - 6 - Good controller of the ball and a good passer. His vision seemed to be blinded at times as he missed some killer balls.

Frunza - 5.5 - Struggled to have a big impact but ran the attacking line well.

Varga - 7 - Best player on the pitch for Unirea. Ran all over the field, switched flanks and dropped into the middle as the game wore on.

Bilasco - 6.5 - Did his very best to be a real pain. If he improves his control and touch a little then he will be a phenomenal player.

Subs

Balan - 5.5 - Gave a little bit of energy when the rest of the team was getting tired.

Paduretu - N/A

Semedo - N/A

SEVILLA

Varas - 5.5 - Had very little to do in the match but the goal could have been avoided if he had yelled like never before.

Dragutinovic - 5.5 - Solid enough display but his error for the goal cost the team. Was under no pressure and needs to work on his communication skills.

Sergio Sanchez - 6 - Got involved and dominated the back line. Needs to work on timing and quality but looks a very good player.

Navarro - 6 - Made some good forward runs but did not really have much of an influence in terms of attack or defence.

Konko - 6.5 - Ran his socks off and got forward as much as he could. Should have scored in the final minute but a brilliant save stopped him. One to watch.

Capel - 6 - Danced up and down the left wing but was not good enough to get past the experience of Galamaz. Better passing needed.

Zokora - 6 - Typical display. Aggressive and sometimes a little clumsy. Got stuck in but gave the team something they needed.

Navas - 6 - Ran up and down the wing all night but failed to deliver on the quality that we all know he has.

Lolo - 5.5 - Made some good passes but failed to find the killer ball that would have ripped Unirea apart. Disappointing.

Kanoute - 7 - Ran the line well and picked up the ball as well as laying it off. A little more quality in and around him and the result could have been different.

Negredo - 6 - Got into some good attacking positions but he needs to work on his finishing, which was very poor.

Subs

Perotti - 6.5 - Came on and had an immediate impact. Needs to work on crossing but he looks a very dangerous player when he is used against weak full backs.

Luis Fabiano - 6 - Gave a calm and air of quality when he came on but failed to deliver in good free kick positions and should have scored late on.

Renato - N/A
