FC Zurich Attacker Johan Vonlanthen Sidelined With Thigh Injury
Vonlanthen's thigh injury refuses to clear and it could be another fortnight before he returns to the playing field, placing his participation against Milan in doubt...
The 23-year-old sustained a thigh injury in the 6-1 defeat by Olympique de Marseille on Matchday 4 of the Champions League and was forced to leave the pitch only nine minutes into the game due to the problem.
Vonlanthen has not played since, but was expected to return to match action in Wednesday's Champions League game against Real Madrid. However, he requires another two weeks to recover.
The Swiss international is therefore doubtful for the visit of Milan on December 8. Zurich pulled off a shock 1-0 win in the away game against the Rossoneri earlier this campaign.
