Sneijder scored the eventual winner, and was happy with his performance, as he was able to contribute to the result.
"There was a good dose of fortune," the Dutchman told Sky. "But also a lot of courage, and I was lucky to score.
"I am very happy because tonight I was able to contribute something to the team.
"We obtained an extremely important win, and now we have two matches in the competition to get the necessary points to advance.
"Thanks to this victory, we can go to Barcelona with less pressure," Sneijder summed up.
The Nerazzurri play host to Roma in the league this weekend, as they look to continue their winning form in Serie A.
