Barcelona's Victor Valdes 'Satisfied' With Performance Against Rubin Kazan
Despite failing to win in Europe again, there are no excuses for Barca...
Valdes had to be at his best to deny the Russians on a handful of occasions, in a group that is proving to be one of the tightest in this edition of the tournament.
"The temperature made it very difficult to play. The cold was intense, but our doctors have done a good job. The cold is no excuse though," he declared.
"They [Rubin] are a very good team. We had our chances, but could not score. I am satisfied with my work and for the whole team."
Barcelona will next play host to Inter, before having to travel to Ukraine to take on Dynamo Kiev.
He added, "The group is very tight. There are two games left that will be closely contested by everyone."
