Mark van Bommel: Bayern Munich Dominated The Game Against Bordeaux
The Dutch midfielder has lamented his side's impotence on Tuesday evening. He has also complained that a key decision did not go in Die Roten's favour...
“I take responsibility for the first goal - that shouldn’t have happened. We should have taken the lead, the incident with [Miroslav] Klose should have been a penalty," Van Bommel was quoted as saying by reporters.
"We reacted well and gave it our best shot in the second half. We dominated the game, but you’ve got to score. We had three or four really good chances, but it wasn’t enough.
"It’s not over yet because there are still two games to play. If we win them, we’ll be up to ten points. But it’s going to be tough.“
Bordeaux sit top of the Group A table with ten points from four games and are already through to the knockout phase. Bayern sit third with only four points and cannot afford to slip in their last two matches.
