Real Madrid midfielder Kaka says his team can now talk about progressing to the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League following their 1-1 draw with Milan at the San Siro.

Both sides sit on seven points in Group C after a penalty from Ronaldinho ten minutes before the interval cancelled out a goal from Karim Benzema after twenty minutes.

"We've improved. We had a great first half and we can now speak of progress," Kaka said afterwards, according to AS.

The Brazilian also noted that he was pleased with the reception he got from the Milan fans on his first return to the San Siro since joining Madrid during the summer.

"I am very happy with how I was received at the San Siro. It's a sign of good things I did here, but now I intend to do it all at Madrid," he declared.
