Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Madrid at San Siro stadium, on matchday four of this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The result keeps both sides at the top of Group C, as they are deadlocked on seven points after the four rounds of matches to this point.

This particular clash marked the return of Kaka to his former hunting ground, for the first time since departing the Milanese outfit for Madrid in the summer. The vice-president of Milan, Adriano Galliani, was full of praise for his side’s former superstar.

“Kaka is a fantastic player for Milan, and he continues to be the same at Real Madrid,” Galliani affirmed to Sky.

“He came into our changing room and was very nice with everyone before the match. He is an extraordinary person, as well as a great player.”

Despite this though, the vice-president went on to say that the Rossoneri have now moved on from the departure of the Brazilian, as they have done so with other legends in the past.

He continued, “Milan have survived the departures of [Gunnar] Nordahl, [Gianni] Rivera, [Marco] Van Basten, [Franco] Baresi, and [Paolo] Maldini. So we will also survive in this case.

“The Rossoneri will always be a strong club, and we will continue to be at the top of all competitions we participate in.”

Milan travel to the Italian capital this weekend, to take on Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
