thumbnail Hello,

The trequartista is still recovering from injury, but says he is able to play the whole 90 minutes...

Juventus playmaker Diego may not have scored - or set up - a goal during his side's clash against Bayern Munich on matchday 2 of the Champions League, but the Brazilian says that he is regaining his lost match fitness.

His side's most recent clash may have ended 0-0, and the 24-year-old gave his take on why he was substituted just after the hour mark.

"I felt good out there. I am still match-conditioning myself though, hoping to return to my peak fitness," Diego said post-match to

"I am still fit enough to play 90 minutes. I know that I have an important role to play in the team when I walk onto the field."

Returning to Germany since departing from Werder Bremen in the summer, Diego received a not-so warm welcome.

He continued, "It is normal, as I am considered an enemy here in Munich, but I have a grand affection for all of Germany."

Juventus take on Palermo on Sunday in Serie A, and Israeli side Maccabi Haifa next in the Champions League.
