thumbnail Hello,

The Blaugrana will face their biggest test of the new season so far when they kick-off their Champions League programme with a daunting trip to Inter. invites you to pick your starting XI…

Barcelona began the defence of their Primera Division crown with a perfect start and now, they are looking to do the same with their Champions League throne when they face Inter at the majestic San Siro in a mouth-watering blockbuster.

Coach, Pep Guardiola did not have a full strength squad at his disposal for the opening game in La Liga against Sporting Gijon and neither was he able to pick his best line-up at the weekend at Getafe. But on Wednesday in the Italian fashion capital, he could deploy his most stylish Barca side yet this campaign as his big guns make a full return.

Rafa Marquez is finally back in the squad after making a complete recovery from a pre-season muscle injury. Andres Iniesta, who himself made it onto the pitch for a competitive match for the first time this campaign at the weekend, could now be given his first start of the new term.

Dmytro Chygrynskiy, meanwhile, has also been surprisingly included in the convoy despite being ineligible to play having previously featured for Shakhtar Donetsk.

The only two players missing are long-term injury casualty, Gabriel Milito and young striker, Bojan Krkic, who is still recovering from a knock he picked up while on international duty last week. That leaves Guardiola with the 19 men below:

Goalkeepers: Victor Valdes, Pinto

Defenders: Dani Alves, Pique, Puyol, Rafa Marquez, Chygrynskiy, Abidal, Maxwell

Midfielders: Xavi, Toure Yaya, Busquets, Keita, Jeffren, Iniesta

Forwards: Messi, Pedro, Ibrahimovic, Henry

We ask you to leave your choices in the comments feature below using hyphens to separate positions, working from right to left. For example, here is the side that could line up in a 4-3-3 formation:

Victor Valdes – Dani Alves, Puyol, Pique, Abidal – Xavi, Toure/Keita, Iniesta – Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry

Visca el Barca!
