Cesc Fabregas has hailed Andres Iniesta as one of the best players in the world and believes that he deserves all the publicity and praise that he has been receiving this season.
The Arsenal midfielder was once a team-mate of the Barcelona playmaker in the Catalan club's youth ranks and is delighted to see him reach his potential at the highest level.
As well as having superb balance, vision and technical ability, Fabregas has been impressed with his friend's displays this term and thinks that he is now world class.
"He is one of the top three players in the world right now," The Daily Star quotes him as saying.
"If you see him play week in, week out you will notice that he has a special talent - he's a good passer of the ball and has good vision but, at the same time, he's been much stronger physically this season.
"He has more speed now, running with the ball and having a go at opponents. He's a very complete midfielder and I'm really happy for him because he's a very quiet guy and never wants fame for himself so he deserves his success.
"I watched the Chelsea game against Barcelona, which was a good game. Barcelona kept trying to play football and in the end had their reward."
