Luciano Moggi: Inter And Roma Will Struggle But Juventus Will Progress

The disgraced transfer guru believes that the Bianconeri are the only Italian flag-bearers likely to progress in the Champions League this week.

Juventus will host Chelsea at the Stadio Olimpico this evening after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago.

Coach Claudio Ranieri will not be able to call upon a number of key players, most prominently Mohamed Sissoko and Nicola Legrottaglie, but former Old Lady director Luciano Moggi is confident they can overcome their difficulties and go through to the next round.

“I feel positive about Juve’s chances,” he told 7itv.com.

“They are very consistent and have all the qualities needed to reach the quarter-finals, even though Chelsea have returned to winning ways under Guus Hiddink and have rediscovered important players such as [Didier] Drogba and [Michael] Essien.”

Inter and Roma will be in action tomorrow night. The Nerazzurri travel to Manchester United after a stalemate in the first leg and the Lupi entertain Arsenal hoping to overturn a one-goal deficit.

“Inter have the most difficult task,” warned ‘Big Luciano’.

“If ‘Ibra’ fails to produce his magic, it’s unlikely they will get something out of it.

“As for Roma, they are not going through a good period of form and will struggle against Arsenal. It will be hard for them to progress and even more complicated now due to their injury crisis.”
