Joan Laporta believes that Barcelona are firm favourites to beat Olympique Lyonnais in the second leg of their Champions League tie and heaped praise on the Catalan club's stars.
The Blaugrana president was pleased with the 1-1 draw in Stade Gerland and thinks that his side should now progress from the second game at Camp Nou in two weeks.
"The fact we are at home should be decisive. The team reacted well after going behind and now we should win the tie at home," Sport quoted him as saying.
"We knew that Lyon were a good team. Juninho creates a lot of problems from set pieces and [Karim] Benzema is very fast."
Barcelona have been linked with Benzema and while Laporta admitted that he was a fan, he also revealed that the club would be doing all they could to keep Samuel Eto'o.
"[Barça technical secretary] Txiki [Begiristain] has a good relationship with Bernard Lacombe, Olympique's sporting director. They have some great players and Benzema could play for any of the world's great clubs," he continued.
"For me, Samuel is the best striker in the world [though] and we will do all we can to keep him at the club."
Laporta then stated that Messi is the best player in the world and also said that he thinks that Thierry Henry is doing very well this season.
"Messi is a genius. He is a combination of the best of Maradona and the best of Cruyff. He is the best player in the world," he added.
"I am very pleased with Titi. He is a player of great class and is a great team player too."
