thumbnail Hello,

‘Amo’ believes that at least two Italian clubs will progress through against English opposition and he also states that there is a chance of it becoming a hat-trick...

Former Glasgow Rangers and Blackburn Rovers defender Lorenzo Amoruso has told Goal.com that he believes Jose Mourinho's Inter juggernaut will send Manchester United crashing out of the Champions League.

The Italian champions welcome the current holders to the San Siro on Tuesday night and it will be a battle of old foes as Mourinho pits his wits against Sir Alex Ferguson. Amoruso, who played in the Premier League, believes there will only be one winner - and they don't wear Red jerseys.

"I am convinced that Inter will beat Manchester United over the two legs but the first match will be the deciding factor," Amoruso told Goal.com.

"The Red Devils are a team who look for space and I think that, if Inter allow them little room, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Adriano will be able to do the damage against Rio Ferdinand. In fact, the Englishman seems to drift out of the game when the going gets tough."

Roma travel to Arsenal hoping for a good result and Amoruso is backing Luciano Spalletti's men to beat the Gunners tomorrow night.

"Although Arsenal never stop running, they are a team that gift the opposition at least three goal scoring chances per game," added the former stopper.

"I think Spalletti's men need to take advantage of this with [Simone] Perrotta and [Daniele] De Rossi."

Moving on, the Italian spoke about Juventus' chances with Chelsea. The Bianconeri clash with Guus Hiddink’s men on Wednesday in the final instalment of the first leg of the Italy v England battles.

"Chelsea against Juve is a more balanced game. Inter and Roma are favourites in their games but the Bianconeri will need to be wary of the Blues," added Amoruso.

"Chelsea have a great squad but Juve could have the advantage as the first leg is in London."
