Serie A Preview: Bari - Parma
It's a clash of two clubs stuck in mid-table....

Bari's woeful form in the second half of the 2009-2010 campaign was threatening to drag them to a relegation dogfight but two successive wins have staved off the rot. Last weekend Bari defeated Lazio 2-0 away from home and in their previous match got the better of Chievo 1-0 at home.
The Galletti are currently 11th in the league standings with 38 points from 28 matches, six points off a Europa League spot. Mathematically, Bari do have a chance of sneaking into Europe next eason but realistically they should try to consolidate their mid-table position.
Back On Track
Like Bari, Parma too had a sensational first half in 2009-2010 but their start to the second session was awkward and erratic. But like Bari the Ducali have recovered and are unbeaten in their last three matches in the league.
At the moment Parma are 12th in the Serie A table with 37 points from 28 matches. Last weekend they defeated relegation candidates Atalanta and prior to that had drawn with Siena and had defeated Sampdoria. The visitors will look to continue their unbeaten run on Sunday afternoon too.

Probable Lineup (4-4-2): Gillet, Belmonte, A. Masiello, Bonucci, S. Masiello; Alvarez, Donati, Almiron, Kamata; Meggiorini, Castillo Parma Dzemailli and Paloschi are out while Dellafiore, Mirante and Lunardini are struggling. Morrone is suspended. Probable Lineup (4-3-2-1): Mirante, Zaccardo, Paci, Dellafiore, Lucarelli; Valiani, Lunardini, Galloppa; Biabiany, Lanzafame; Crespo PLAYERS TO WATCH Sergio Almiron (Bari) The Argentine scored against Lazio last weekend and had a good game. Almiron has been an integral part of the Bari midfield this campaign and he will certainly be looking forward to playing his part against Parma.
Hernan Crespo (Parma) The former Inter striker has yet to open his record for his former club since joining them from Genoa in January but he has looked decent in the games he has featured in. Crespo's experience is always an asset and now that Parma have started picking up points, he will be doubly eager to start scoring. PREDICTION Both Bari and Parma have started to look strong and it will be a close game. It shouldn't come as a surprise if it ends in a draw.
