Serie A Preview: Atalanta - Livorno
Who will win this relegation six-pointer?
By Mondal Subhankar
Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Bergamo.
Doomed For Serie B
Atalanta are currently second from bottom in Serie A with 22 points from 28 matches. They are level on points with bottom side Siena and are two points behind Livorno, whom they meet on Sunday.
The Nerazzurri have looked awful throughout the season and went down 1-0 to Parma last weekend. However, prior to the game they had drawn 0-0 with Udinese, another relegation candidates. The last time Atalanta won was against Bari in the league in early February.
Confident About Survival
Livorno are currently third from bottom in Serie A with 24 points from 28 matches and are two points behind Lazio, who are 17th. The Amaranto have shown one or two signs of improvement but they have to put in more effort.
Last weekend Livorno shocked Roma as they held them to a 3-3 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. It was an exciting game in which the Labronici actually came from behind. That draw brought an end to their wretched run of four defeats in a row in the league and Livorno will be hoping to build on that.

TEAM NEWS
Atalanta
Barreto and Talamonti are out, Garics, Bianco and Pellegrino are doubtful and Doni, Tiribocchi and Capelli are suspended.
Probable Lineup (4-4-2): Consigli, Garics, Bianco, Manfredini, Bellini; Padoin, Guarente, De Ascentis, Valdes; Chevanton, Amoruso
Livorno
Miglionico and Bernandini are out while Marchini, Diniz and Knezevic are doubtful.
Probable Lineup (3-4-2-1): Rubinho, Perticone, Rivas, Knezevic; Raimondi, Moro, Filippini, Pieri; Bellucci, Di Gennaro; Lucarelli
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Andrea Consigli (Atalanta)
Consigli could be asked to come into action frequently as Livorno have shown an intent to score goals and win matches of late. Atalanta are struggling and their backline is fractured and Consigli has to be on top of his game.
Rubinho (Livorno)
Livorno are far from being good at the back but Rubinho has made several brilliant saves over the course of the season. The Livorno custodian will be the last line of defence against Atalanta and he will be a key player for the visitors.
PREDICTION
It doesn't promise to be an exceptionally intriguing game and Livorno should win it.
