Arsenal's injury list is growing. In a week where international friendlies seem to have taken their toll on almost every major club, Arsenal have already lost Theo Walcott for two months or so after he damaged his shoulder training with England.
Now manager Arsene Wenger faces more disruption to his squad with the news that centre-back Kolo Toure will miss Saturday's potentially troublesome trip to Eastlands to face Manchester City.
"Kolo Toure is a major doubt," said Wenger. "He got an injury on his calf with Ivory Coast.
"But apart from him and Adebayor, who flies in tonight and I have not spoken to, everybody is okay."
Emmanuel Adebayor has been away on international duty with Togo, who played Rwanda in Lome this week, is not expected back in London until Friday morning. Neither will Carlos Vela, who has been away with Mexico.
Both players are likely to be involved for Arsenal at the weekend, despite their long journeys, because of the Gunners' injury problems.
Wenger, who has Robin van Persie back after a three-match ban but loses Cesc Fabregas to suspension, added: "I will need everybody on board.
"We only get back Carlos Vela tomorrow morning, maybe the afternoon. So when he lands we will have to transfer him to Manchester."
